Angel of Many Colors

angelofmanycolorsI’ve stated it before, and I continue to maintain it….I am a Pollyanna.  I don’t put my head in the sand, but I do believe that the power of love will change the world.

That being said….I have an interesting story about how this painting “happened”.  One that made me realize that if we are open to the messages, they come.

I was traveling the other day with a friend, and we went through Joplin.   I asked him if he had heard the story of the Butterfly People there during the tornado.  Reports abound about children seeing beautiful “butterfly people” that protected them.  Emerging unscathed.

I looked up after reading him a few of the stories.  We were passing a car.  A VW Beetle.  Painted like a Monarch.

There are no coincidences.

I have felt the tug, the pull, the draw to paint a rather large angel painting the past few days.  Generally, I listen to what my intuition is telling me to do.   And I started.  Fresh canvas. BIG canvas.

And, I tried to make it what “I” wanted it to be.

She would have no part in that.   I felt anxious.  Out of sorts.  I relaxed.  Sat with her for a while.  She started emerging.

An angel of many colors.

With a message.

Love one another as you love yourself.

I am you, you are me.  We are all one.

I showed her to my friend….and he reminded me… of the story of the butterfly people and of the Monarch car that just happened to pass us at the very moment I was reading the story to him.

She came to me in a dream….along with many others like her.

You are not alone.

We are always with you.

Look for signs and you will see us.

You will feel our presence.

You will know we are here.

I have no idea how these things happen.  I just know they do.   I just know I am supposed to paint them and share their messages.

Yes, I am a Pollyanna.

Yes, I believe that people are basically good.

Yes, I believe that love will change the world.

And, yes, even though my part is small, I believe I make a difference.

The Butterfly Effect.

The Ripple Effect.

The 100th Monkey Story.

Red, Yellow, Black and White….we are all one.

The only thing that separates us is fear.

The only way to heal everything – is love.

What is your part?

Much love,

Paula
