Fairy Tales DO Come True

This painting sat in my studio for almost two months.

For two months, I had no idea where it was going.

Years ago, that would have driven me crazy. I would have tried to force it… to figure it out… to make it become something before it was ready.

Now I know better.

I’ve learned that my paintings have a way of revealing themselves when they’re ready. My job isn’t to control the process. My job is simply to keep showing up.

So I painted.

I added a little here.

Covered something there.

Waited.

Listened.

Trusted.

Then life began weaving together a series of moments that, on their own, didn’t seem connected.

A frog.

A conversation.

An unexpected turn.

A feeling I couldn’t quite explain.

Looking back, they felt less like coincidences and more like breadcrumbs.

One by one, they quietly led me somewhere I never could have planned.

Then, almost all at once…

this painting finally told me its name.

Fairy Tales Do Come True.

Maybe that’s why I’ve always loved fairy tales.

Not because they’re about princes, castles, or happily-ever-afters.

But because they remind us that life has a mysterious way of weaving together people, moments… and yes, even frogs… in ways we could never imagine while we’re living them.

It’s only when we look back that we begin to see the pattern.

Every so often, we’re given a glimpse.

Just enough to stop us in our tracks.

Just enough to wonder.

Then we smile…

because for one breathtaking moment…

life lets us peek behind the curtain.

And suddenly…

what once felt impossible…

feels like the most natural thing in the world.

Maybe that’s when we realize…

fairy tales were never meant to live only in storybooks.

They’ve been quietly unfolding around us all along.

May We Walk Together as One….now more than ever.
